About this bottle: Georgia is the proud custodian of a winemaking culture that dates back well over 8000 years. This distinctive Saperavi - Georgia's most widely planted grape variety - is produced in the Kakheti region from mature vines growing in the picturesque Alazani river valley. Once the grapes are harvested and crushed, they are fermented in traditional qvevris (large clay amphoras buried in the ground to keep cool) where they are left to macerate and extract lots of flavour, colour and natural aromas.
