A renowned Swedish textile artist and designer based in Stockholm, Simon Key Bertman studied at the Konstfack School of Design and the Royal Institute of Art, graduating in 2011. Bertman has garnered attention for his groundbreaking work with patterns, textures and colors, drawing inspiration from Swedish expressionist painter Isaac Grünewald. I am fascinated by playing with form and color to come up with a dynamic geometric pattern, says the designer. That fascination is apparent in his Loom Throw (2014), which features a systematic pattern that at once is perfectly ordered yet can appear a bit random. Handmade from the softest cotton, Loom features a light and airy structure, with a color composition that changes depending on how you fold it. Machine washable. Made in India. Materials: 100% cotton. Measurements:L 71" W 51.25"
DWR Exclusive Verner Panton studied at the renowned Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Upon finishing his schooling, he apprenticed at Arne Jacobsens architectural practice before establishing his own design studio in 1955. Although Panton was influenced by Jacobsens organic modern approach, he first established himself at the forefront of the avant-garde with furniture based on geometric forms and use of strong colors. Panton is regarded today as a major contributor to the development of modern design in the second half of the 20th century. The Mirror Throw (1973) is one of his most iconic graphic designs, originally conceived for the famous Visiona II fantasy environment that he created for the Cologne Furniture Fair in 1970. This plush merino wool throw features Verpans trademark geometric shapes in two hues that play off each other. Made in Lithuania. Materials: 100% merino wool. Measurements:L 75" W 51"
DWR Exclusive Wrap yourself in this luxuriously soft Mohair Throw and you'll understand why mohair, which is made from the hair of the Angora goat, has been prized since the 1500s. As warm as a hug, the high-quality mohair fibers are naturally durable and breathable. Mohair's inherent strength and flexibility has led to its use in a wide range of applications since Angora goats were brought to the West in the mid-1800s – from blankets and scarves to train seats and cowboy's chaps. Using all-natural vegetable dyes and only natural fibers, our 100% brushed Mohair Throw was woven at a mill in County Wicklow, Ireland, which has been manufacturing tweeds and blankets since 1723. Made in Ireland. Materials: 70% mohair; 30% pure wool Measurements:L 72" W 57"
