A renowned Swedish textile artist and designer based in Stockholm, Simon Key Bertman studied at the Konstfack School of Design and the Royal Institute of Art, graduating in 2011. Bertman has garnered attention for his groundbreaking work with patterns, textures and colors, drawing inspiration from Swedish expressionist painter Isaac Grünewald. I am fascinated by playing with form and color to come up with a dynamic geometric pattern, says the designer. That fascination is apparent in his Loom Throw (2014), which features a systematic pattern that at once is perfectly ordered yet can appear a bit random. Handmade from the softest cotton, Loom features a light and airy structure, with a color composition that changes depending on how you fold it. Machine washable. Made in India. Materials: 100% cotton. Measurements:L 71" W 51.25"

Panton is regarded today as a major contributor to the development of modern design in the second half of the 20th century. The Mirror Throw (1973) is one of his most iconic graphic designs, originally conceived for the famous Visiona II fantasy environment that he created for the Cologne Furniture Fair in 1970. Design Within Reach Spectrum Throw Design Within Reach Spectrum Throw

In 1723, a cooperative mill was started in County Wicklow, Ireland, where farmers could spin and weave their wool into tweeds and blankets. All the yarn was uncolored at first, but then the farmers started experimenting with natural vegetable dyes, and soon the mills output was livened with reds, greens and yellows. After thriving for more than two centuries, the business ran into trouble. By 1960, the looms had been abandoned, and the mill had fallen into disrepair. In the 1970s, a young family came upon an advertisement listing the property for sale, and the rest is history, as they say. Still overseen by that same family today, the mill has stayed true to its heritage, weaving premium rugs, throws and scarves out of wool, mohair, cotton and linen. The warm, luxurious Spectrum Throw (2012) is made using all-natural fibers and dyes, with a colorful pixel pattern. This blanket is great for throwing over the bed, a sofa or yourself. Made in Ireland. Materials: 100% lambswool; vegetable dye. Measurements:L 72" W 57"
