These little gems of stud earrings are from Ciro and sourced by Susan Caplan Vintage. The 1980s design combines gold plated openwork swirls scattered with sparkling round cut clear Swarovski crystals. With post fixings these earrings are signed Ciro and are for pierced ears. They come complete with their original box. Ciro opened its first store in London in 1917, offering a high-quality imitation pearl to the public. As natural pearls were rare and expensive and cultured pearls would not be successfully harvested for nearly 10 years, their jewellery was exceedingly popular.
