A world first from Seiko, Astron is an innovative men's watch which can adjust to the local time anywhere on the planet, in all currently recognised 39 time zones, with the press of a button. Accurate to one second every 100,000 years, the watch receives a constantly updated time signal from the Atomic Clocks housed in each GPS satellite. This signal is received even when the wearer is moving - provided you can see the sky, you know the time displayed will be absolutely accurate. The watch receives all the power it needs to keep running from light absorbed through the dial. A reserve indicator shows the amount of solar power stored in the watch. Astron also has a Perpetual calendar which automatically corrects the date, and will be accurate until February 28th 2100. A date window sits at the 3 o'clock position. The case is stainless steel with a dark coating, while strap is a rugged Silicone band. The dial is scratch resistant sapphire crystal, with Seiko's proprietary new Super-Clear Coating. This anti-reflective coating has been applied to the front and back of the glass, preventing 99% of reflection and allowing the dial to be legible even in direct sunlight.
