Fine earthenware. Manufactured in England using traditional methods in a factory established in 1787 by Thomas Wedgwood cousin of Josiah Wedgwood. The factory was acquired by Edward Challinor in 1819 and then completely rebuilt in 1869 and production still takes place on the same site today.
